When you examine the New York city advertising media sources, it soon becomes very clear how massive of an impact it has internationally. The media in NY City has some of the most influencial and important newspapers, largest publishing houses, most excuisit television studios, and biggest record companies in the world. New York is the largest hub of media production in the United States and is also the nation's largest media market. It is a major global center for the television, music, newspaper and book publishing industries.
New York City Advertising Media also consist of many modern day sources like large billboards, websites like craigslist, direct mail etc.
News Papers.
The Wall Street Joulnal and the New York Times are two of the three national daily newspapers in the United States and they are located in NY. There also two major tabloid newspapers in the city, namely The New York Daily News and The New York Post. New York City Advertising Media also consist of a major ethnic press, with 270 newspapers and magazines published in more than 40 languages.
New York City Advertising - Radio
New York's flagship public radio station, is located Manhattan and has a large audience of listeners to public radio station in the United States. WFMU, along with KCRW in Los Angeles. WBAI is located in Manhattan and Fordham University's WFUV and Columbia University's radio station, WKCR, are significant non-commercial stations to the city.
New York City Advertising - Television
New York City has the three traditional major American television networks. They are ABC, CBS and NBC. It is also the foundation for several large cable television channels, including MTV, Fox News, HBO and Comedy Central. WNET is New York's largest public television station and is very influental to the advertising media. There are many other public access channels in New York, including Brooklyn Cable Access Television and they all are great sources for advertising.
