BICYCLE SHOP OWNER ATTEMPTS TO RE-INVENT THE EBAY WHEEL

By: Maclyn

Albert Yang, owns a bike shop in Stanmore, Sydney. Often he uses eBay to sell his products. Like all sellers on eBay, with the fee increase and change in feedback systems, he began to look for alternatives. When he found none, he decided to come up with his own concept.

The website OfferMe.com.au works similarly to Stock Exchange. 'With eBay receiving a lot of negative attention in the media, it is clear that people are not happy with their conduct. I am happy to offer people a better alternative,' Mr.Yang said.

We can't ignore the negative feedback eBay has been receiving in the media. But will they think OfferMe can really offer them what they want? It's not just eBay they have to go up against. Oztion and Greys Online are just a few of the players in this growing online market that are profiting from eBay's bad publicity of late.

Mr. Yang's not so quiet confidence has me curious about the site and what it could offer someone like me, a shopaholic. Will it crash and burn like so many others who have gone up against the eBay gladiator? I don't know.

Make up your own mind by going to www.offerme.com.au.
